Printing

Most of our packaging products are printed using the flexographic process. The ink is coated onto a raised polymer printing plate that is then rolled against the packaging surface to produce the printed image. Unlike the more familiar litho process (used for printed leaflets and stationery) the detail to be printed must contain only line art without any graduated tints or screens.

Tissue, paper rolls, film rolls and paper bags are limited to two spot colours, overprinted carrier bags, labels and ribbons are limited to 1 spot colour.

Printed stationery has non of the above limitations and can be printed, in 1, 2 or full colour with any level of tint or shading you require.

Artwork

If you don’t have your own artwork we can provide simple type set details, in a variety of fonts free of charge.

If you would like a professionally designed logo and new corporate identity we provide a full design service, please see the “Graphic Design” section in the online shop.

If you can supply your own artwork please follow the recommendations below, the person or company who designed your logo will be able to provide you with this.

Email/Disk Format

Artwork must be vector based in either Adobe Illustrator, PDF or EPS format with fonts saved as outlines.

High resolution (1200dpi at the size you want it printing) Tiff files can also be accepted.

Please note JPEG files are not suitable unless they are for photographs on printed stationery.

Hard Copy

High resolution black print line art on white paper. (no inkjet or fax copies)

Previously printed letterheads and business cards may be suitable, subject to sight of copy.

£15 per colour for a print area up to A4, £25 per colour for a print area larger than A4.

£5 per block for ink printed labels, £15 per block for foil printed labels.

£100 to £500 depending on print coverage and number of colours.

Delivery to Mainland UK is FREE with the exception of the Scottish Highlands.

• Postcodes starting with IV, KW, PA, PH19-PH44, ZE, KA27 and KA28 - £9.77 per parcel
• Northern Ireland - £5.60 per parcel
• Eire and The Channel Islands - £12.75 per parcel
